This March we have had lots of fun taking our immersive reality demonstration on the road, and have been working hard on our plans for the summer. It’s going to be fantastic, and we can’t wait until we can release more details!
In March we introduced two new offerings for teachers and schools: Taster Sessions (where we can visit your school and give a STEM demonstration) and Practical Sessions (where you can bring your class to our campus at UCS Ipswich to get really hands-on with some of our technology and sports science equiptment).
To find out when we have spots open for Taster Sessions, visit our booking page here.
To enquire about a visit for your class to UCS, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Out and about in Suffolk
STEM Accelerator, and our Oculus Rift, were at the Your Future Careers Fair at West Suffolk College on 22nd March. The “immersive reality” demonstration was really popular as always. It turns out playing with virtual blocks is SO MUCH MORE FUN! Especially when you can turn off gravity!!
Watch a quick clip of Tom in action below.
Coming up in April
Tom and Lauren will be on Ipswich Community Radio (105.7fm) on Monday 4th April at 8:25am. They’ll be talking about the future of technology, and how Suffolk students can get to try out some of this new tech with STEM Accelerator! UPDATE: if you missed it, you can listen to the show again here.
We’re looking forward to welcoming more of our work experience students at UCS Ipswich in Easter and the summer term! We are also opening up more spots for work experience in the summer holidays – so book your place here.
